Michael studied oil painting professionally while pursuing a BFA at East Carolina University. Most of his career has been in various arts administrative and executive positions.  Now that he is semi-retired he is devoting his  full time to his first love, painting. He's held one-man shows, and sold paintings and photographs in numerous galleries and to private collectors. He loves to expand on natural forms and capture their unique shapes and vibrant colors.
